How to Pitch or Submit News to Small Business Trends

Submit a News Tip or PR Pitch

Got some news?  We'd love to hear from you.

Here on Small Business Trends, our team of Editors and journalists do original new coverage on matters of interest to small business owners and entrepreneurs. We consider it an important part of our mission.

Type of News

We focus on covering news that affects small business owners in the following areas:
  • product launches and updates
  • market research and surveys
  • tax, legal and regulatory matters
  • acquisitions and mergers
  • trends and timely events
  • awards, online activities and conferences
All news must be relevant to startups, entrepreneurs or small businesses with up to 100 employees.

While we have thousands of advice articles that apply to readers globally, when it comes to "news" our primary focus is the United States.

Embargoes and Interviews

Interviews: In some cases we prefer to interview someone by phone to get firsthand information. In other cases, the materials available online and via email are sufficient to get the facts.

Embargoes: We honor embargoes, provided you make the embargo clear, including when it will lift.

Email your news tip or PR pitch to: sbtips@gmail.com.

When you send information through one of the methods above, it goes into our central system. Our Editors review the central inbox every morning. We read all pitches and tips. You will also get an auto-response email acknowledging receipt.

Keep in mind, we receive hundreds of emails each week. We cannot cover every announcement. We try to choose what we think will interest our readers the most.
